What happens once I have registered?
Once you have registered for the Aspire Channel Swim you will receive a welcome pack, which will contain your official record card and sponsorship form. The welcome pack will also contain an information leaflet about Aspire and a letter with useful information for your challenge ahead.
Do I/we have to complete the 22 miles in one session?
The challenge is designed so each team or individual has control over their own swimming. You can swim the distance in one day or break it down into regular sessions over the twelve weeks of the challenge.
Do I need to get my record card signed?
You do not need to get your record card signed by your local pool. Use your record card to note your lengths each time you swim and return to Aspire as proof you have finished the swim. If you would like to get your lengths verified and your pool is happy to do so then please do.
How many lengths do I have to swim in my local pool?
Do I need to let Aspire know if I cannot finish the distance?
We keep in touch with our swimmers throughout the challenge with letters and emails, so please let us know if you cannot complete the challenge.
Can we add a team member?
You can add team members throughout the challenge. Please contact us if you wish to do so and we will send you the relevant paperwork.
Can I use my local pool for free?
Unfortunately Aspire has no control over admission prices at participating pools across the country. We advise that individuals and teams to approach their local pool with regard to any monetary matters.
Can I get more sponsorship forms or record cards?
If you need any extra sponsorship forms or record cards please contact a member of the fundraising team on freephone 0800 0370 880 or email email@example.com. Alternatively, go to our Raising the Money page to download additional sponsorship forms and record cards.
Who do I make my cheque payable to and where should I send it?
All cheques should be made payable to Aspire and sent to the freepost address below:

When do I need to send/collect my sponsorship?
Once you have finished your challenge you should start collecting your sponsorship pledges. Once you have collected in the money please send it to Aspire with your record card and sponsorship form/s and we will replace them with your 'I swam the Channel' Certificate and any incentive prizes.
